Day 1: Summer Learning Journey The Fun Facts About Nz (4 Points)
1:New Zealanders are also called kiwis but kiwi is not a fruit. It is New Zealand’s native flightless bird.
2: Queen Elizabeth II is officially Queen of New Zealand, represented in the country by a Governor General.
3:30% of the country is forest.

I appreciate your 'Top 3' facts about New Zealand:
Fact #1. This is a great one! I often have friends from other countries asking me about the kiwi fruit and how it got its name. Did you know that the kiwi fruit is actually from China? If this is the case, then why do you think that we've given it the name, 'kiwi fruit'?
Fact #2. I often forget that we even have a Queen... do you know who our Governor General is?
Fact #3. I'm blown away by this fact, because I would have thought that number to be much bigger! Do you think 'forest' includes our pine forests?
